Max W. Schlotter Scholarship

The Max W. Schlotter Scholarship, in the amount of $1000, will be awarded to two Region 6 graduating seniors (December 2019 or May 2020) who plan to major in education. The students must pursue an education in a Texas college or university.

*Student safety and health is a priority.  

Any students who cannot submit the scholarship application by U.S. Mail can email the application in PDF format.  The letter of recommendation should be included, also in PDF.  If students cannot get the principal's or counselor's signature on the Student Information Page, they need to copy their principal or counselor on the emailed submission; we will follow up afterward to verify the information.

Scholarship: A unique federally-funded educational support and scholarship program that helps more than 2,000 students annually from migrant and seasonal farm-working backgrounds to reach and succeed in college.

Charles Butt Scholarship for Aspiring Teachers

The Charles Butt Scholarship for Aspiring Teachers – one component of the Raising Texas Teachers initiative – is designed to encourage the best and brightest students to consider a future in the teaching profession. Scholars receive up to $8,000 in annual funding for up to four years, as well as ongoing professional development opportunities, mentorship from sitting public school educators, and participation in a statewide aspiring teachers network facilitated by the Raise Your Hand Texas Foundation.
